Jay started performing when his six years old and given that he grew up surrounded by a musical family, it is no wonder that his passion and talent is musical. His infatuation for music inspired him to learn the piano at seven years old and later the guitar.
Jay is also a
remarkable songwriter; he has written a variety of songs and underscores for
television. Yet it is performing on stage with his mates that gives him the
biggest thrill. While Jay has an accomplished solo career, the energy and
creativity that he gets from Jonas Road is something he will never get sick of.Jonas Road's music has been described as a mixture of rock, pop and country music and it has received internationally acclaim. His band has won an US Independent Music People's Choice Awards, the Best Country Artist at the Musicoz Awards, the Best Independent Release at the National Country Music Awards, and an Australian Independent Country Music Award.
Jay and Jonas Road are performing at the Tamworth Music Festival next year, with his uncle Jon English. Their second album is going to be released next year and the band also intends to tour America, Europe and Australia soon after.
