Once again, modern technology has come up with a new, innovative form of fast, informative communications; and it is called Twitter. Similar to the likes of face book, Twitter allows people to instantly communicate, on real time and with just about anyone you want. Even better? You can follow Country Matters crew, such as Susie and Adam, to see what great things they're getting up and follow all the expeditions they go on.

Many will find that social networking, via the Internet, has become part of ones daily routine because it's a great form of keeping in touch with friends and family, without having a tremendous phone bill at the end of the month!

But Twitter isn't solely about the social aspect; you can keep consistent contact with business colleagues, follow the Tweets of your favourite celebrities around the world and what they up to and even find out about the new upcoming artists that will be gracing our ears. Celebrities such as @Ashton Kutcher, @Lily Allen and even @Barak Obama are often updating blogs to keep you informed of their daily movements or important political progressions. Information is endless!

So if you're rushing around and find you don't have time to read the paper or sit down to watch TV, you can just switch to your phone and presto- you' re up to date! One can receive regular updates on the latest news, weather and what the score is for your favourite AFL team!

Just type http://blog.twitter.com/ into your search engine. Available is a huge variety of information and often you'll be able to read new before it's even hit the radio or news!

Members are updating their profiles regularly with Tweets, which can be whatever you wish to share. You can let your followers know of what you had for breakfast, to any of the latest news that someone else has just shared with you.

Depending on personal preference, your profile or conversations can be seen by any followers around the world. But don't worry, if you want a bit of privacy, you can always screen your profile to select other Tweeters.

The best thing about Twitter is it is un-believably easy to join and get you set up. So get involved and join the conversation: All you have to do it go onto the website https://twitter.com/signup and follow the steps from there. Of course if you have any difficulties signing up, there are video tutorials available, how to instructions and experts at hand to make it that much easier.
